How are you? I haven't touched base since I was getting ready to start the Empowered Women Impact Award Summit at the beginning of April... It was amazing! 11 phenomenal women leaders and I rocked the summit along with all the people who showed up to hear them. Is that cool or what?

Well I've got even more exciting news! I've been receiving lots of invites to be a guest on radio shows recently and I've been having a ball with it. Most recently I got invited to be on the Overseas Radio Network where they were going to feature my work as a Life Coach and my upcoming Journey to Freedom class. Next thing I know I'm being featured on the same show as Tony Robbins & Oprah!

Yes, The Tony Robbins, Master Life Coach and Oprah Winfrey! There's a part of me, my shadow self, that didn't feel deserving and wanted to ignore it. You know what I'm talking about?

Ever had something extraordinary happen to you and you ignored it because you didn't want to stand out because people might think you're getting too big for your britches... Well I dealt with that. But you know my Spirit wouldn't let me forget or ignore it. You know why? Because it's not about me. It's about you. And your dreams. That's right...

Your dreams are important! Go for them!

Here's the link to the show so you can take a listen. Enjoy!

I'm in the midst of birthing an Awards event for women and I'm excited and delighted to see it coming forth... In this women's month it was a voice that I heard one early morning at the beginning of this month telling me I needed to pick up the pieces of the Empowered Women Telesummit series I had dropped three years ago. It told me to do an Empowered Women Award.

Then a couple days later as I started to flesh out the idea, a woodpecker showed up pecking at a tree on the other side of our bedroom window here in paradise... It was in the middle of the day and Joe was the one who first heard the bird and said to me: "Whatever you're working on, keep going." I thought to myself that his words were an encouragement from Spirit.

Then to add to the excitement, the woodpecker went away and came back again pecking at the tree. I saw and heard it myself. So I was guided to search up the meaning of woodpecker symbolism. Here's where it definitely caught my attention. "Have you ditched an idea or given up on a project? The woodpecker may be trying to tell you to breathe new life into your project, just as they build new homes into dead trees."

Well hello! Could Spirit be talking any louder than that? If I didn't get the early morning message, They had sent a woodpecker to get my attention. I got the message and am feeling very inspired to breathe new life into this project! Looking forward to sharing with the world very, very soon! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I came up in a generation of personal development when there was a lot of talk about the acronym of j.o.b., or just over broke.

This acronym was used a lot to encourage people to quit their jobs in order to pursue multi-level marketing (MLM).

Now, it’s important for me to state that contrary to popular opinion, I feel that MLMs can be valuable opportunities, if a person chooses wisely. Often, as in other areas of life, we choose unwisely first when we get involved in MLMs.

But refusing to look at another opportunity because of one bad experience would be like eating one food that I didn’t like, and then deciding never to eat again.

The first MLM I got involved in was a company that sold no money down and interest only mortgages three years before the housing crisis in the U.S.

Not a good idea, but I learned a lot from it, and I expanded my vision to living in a beautiful house, which eventually reached fruition here in Alto Boquete.

Now I’m involved with an MLM (although they would probably market it as an affiliate marketing opportunity) called Empower Network. Great leadership, inspiration, and an affordable opportunity.

However, like all other industries, people get greedy, and because they are banking completely on one opportunity (or thinking there is not enough), they want you to do the same thing.

Although financial independence is a goal, it’s time to break with the idea that a job will leave you just over broke.

Just as important is to make sure that you find work in a field that is meaningful to you, and to learn to build your own economy on the side.

If you are at a point in your life in which you know that you have to find a shift in your career to avoid being miserable, I can’t recommend highly enough that you touch base with my wife, Lorna Blake. You can find her here. While you're there, check out some of our other blogs, as well!

Lorna is simply the best at helping you find a career that will allow you to live a life that’s in tune with your values and goals. She helped me find a company that allows me to work from home, and to have a lot more time freedom.

Time freedom is something that I’ve always yearned for, and now that I have it, I find myself advancing in my work more easily, and having more time to relax and to work on side projects.

In my next blog, I will talk some more about time, but for today, the main idea is this: build multiple streams of income, and don’t be afraid to work for others while you grow your income streams. If you choose unwisely on any of your income streams, don’t be afraid to move on.

I’ve personally moved on from daily sports betting and options buying, and into areas that allow me to express myself more powerfully, and to feel better on a daily basis.

Paraphrasing Dani Johnson, treat your work for others like you are a business person in training, and you will be amazed by the progress that you make! If you put yourself in the shoes of the business owner, it will totally transform the way that you do your thing.

Liberation requires patience and strategy, and we’re getting there by taking steps every day to reach it.

Peace and blessings,

Joe Countryman
